Hello Vendors & Patrons!
Thank you all for your patience and understanding over the last year and a half. Let’s get right to it!
The Oddmall PNW shows are finally coming back! The next show is going to be at the Fairgrounds, but in a different building. (Our old building will be demolished after this year’s fair. The new building is much nicer, with smooth concrete floors, has bathrooms in the building and will give Oddmall an entire new feel and upgrade.
There are some pretty major changes, including NEW MANAGEMENT of the events in the greater Puget Sound area. When I started Oddmall in the PNW in 2013 I had big dreams of Oddmall across the country, my brother is the creator of Oddmall and started Oddmall in Akron, Ohio in 2009. There have been over 50 Oddmall shows since then. The shows in this area going forward will be run and managed by your fellow vendor/artist Captain Slinky (of Captain Slinky’s Weird Lamps – Aka Brian Pierce). Captain Slinky has been a part of Oddmall since 2014 and Slinky and his family will be taking over ownership of the local shows so I can concentrate my efforts to expand the Oddmall Empire beyond Western Washington!
My plan is to develop different areas of the country to produce more Oddmall events with partnerships from local vendors who would like to have a show in their area. Captain Slinky will be running shows from Everett – Bellingham and in the Snohomish County area as well as Renton. I will be actively seeking people in the near future to run shows from Renton South to Olympia, Centralia – Portland and Yakima, Spokane and Tri-cities as well as Lynwood to Issaquah, (Areas have not been formalized at this time, but the idea is to have multiple shows in the state working together under the Oddmall Emporium of the Weird Banner. Please contact me at oddmallseattle@gmail.com if you are interested in running shows in your area.
From here on out, all your Oddmall PNW correspondence will be coming from Captain Slinky with a new Oddmall email address. The new email address is – csoddmall@gmail.com – so make sure to read what he sends you as it will have all the information for you about this show and all upcoming shows!
I will still be a part of all shows going forward, but in a more behind the scenes / consulting role. I plan to teach Captain Slinky all I know about how to produce a successful show and I am confident going forward that Oddmall is in the right hands.
I am happy to answer any questions you might have, you can still contact me at Oddmallseattle@gmail.com .
Thank you for 8 years of Oddness,
David Hopp
