Did someone say Pirates at Oddmall?

Isaac C. Singleton Jr who portrayed Bo’sun, a pirate who served as a member of the cursed crew aboard the Black Pearl under the command of Captain Hector Barbossa. When he was part of Barbossa’s crew, Bo’sun served as the Boatswain and First Mate. He later fought against the British Royal Navy at the Battle of Isla de Muerta, in which thanks to Will Turner, the Curse of the Aztec Gold was broken and he recovered his human form along the other members of the crew.

Isaac will be appearing both days at Oddmall and will be available for photo’s and autographs.

Admission and parking are free at Oddmall, and vendor booths are still available.

Update from Oddmall HQ

Hello everyone!

This is David, the founder of Oddmall Emporium of the Weird in the PNW in 2013. My Brother Andy Hopp founded Oddmall in Akron, Ohio in 2009 and has produced over 40 Oddmall shows in Ohio. I want to give everyone an update on our future plans. I have stepped back from show production and I am now focusing on expanding the Oddmall Emporium of the Weird footprint to other areas of the state and eventually other states thru-out the United States by finding awesome people with an interest in event production to run shows under the Oddmall Emporium of the Weird banner.

You may have noticed that our upcoming show November 13 & 14, 2021 is being promoted as Captain Slinky presents: Oddmall the Emporium of the Weird! Captain Slinky who will be taking over and running shows going forward in what we are calling Region 1 of Washington State. Captain Slinky (aka Brian Pierce) has been vending at Oddmall since 2014 and is most known for his Weird Lamps. Brian will be running several shows a year going forward (a new show announcement will be forthcoming in November after he gets the first show under his belt.) in Region 1 which covers the areas of Everett North to Canada and the City of Renton. Look for more announcements for this region in the new year.

I would also like to announce that Esther Chillicut will be the show producer for Region 2 which encompasses Bremerton and surrounding areas, areas surrounding Tacoma (Puyallup, Auburn, Spanaway) and the Olympic Peninsula. Esther has been a big part of Oddmall from the start in 2013 and has helped me with so many things during shows I can’t even count them all. Esther has been a huge part of making Oddmall successful and she has many ideas to make Oddmall an even more amazing experience for all such as celebrity guests, 3 day shows that include panels and workshops and more! Esther hopes to have her first show this coming February. Stay Tuned!

We are actively seeking show runners for Regions 3, 4,& 5 of Washington. These regions occupy the following areas.

Region 3 – Seattle, West Seattle, Bellevue, Lynnwood Issaquah, Hwy 2 from Gold Bar to Wenatchee, and I-90 East to Ellensburg

Region 4 – I-90 after Wenatchee, Tri Cities, Walla Walla, Yakima, and Spokane south to the Oregon border

Region 5 – South West Washington that includes Centralia, Chehalis, Vancouver and surrounding areas.

If you are interested in more information about hosting an Oddmall Emporium of the Weird in your region, please contact me at Oddmallseattle@gmail.com

The future looks bright!

David

Hello Vendors & Patrons!

Thank you all for your patience and understanding over the last year and a half. Let’s get right to it!

The Oddmall PNW shows are finally coming back! The next show is going to be at the Fairgrounds, but in a different building. (Our old building will be demolished after this year’s fair. The new building is much nicer, with smooth concrete floors, has bathrooms in the building and will give Oddmall an entire new feel and upgrade.

There are some pretty major changes, including NEW MANAGEMENT of the events in the greater Puget Sound area. When I started Oddmall in the PNW in 2013 I had big dreams of Oddmall across the country, my brother is the creator of Oddmall and started Oddmall in Akron, Ohio in 2009. There have been over 50 Oddmall shows since then. The shows in this area going forward will be run and managed by your fellow vendor/artist Captain Slinky (of Captain Slinky’s Weird Lamps – Aka Brian Pierce). Captain Slinky has been a part of Oddmall since 2014 and Slinky and his family will be taking over ownership of the local shows so I can concentrate my efforts to expand the Oddmall Empire beyond Western Washington!

My plan is to develop different areas of the country to produce more Oddmall events with partnerships from local vendors who would like to have a show in their area. Captain Slinky will be running shows from Everett – Bellingham and in the Snohomish County area as well as Renton. I will be actively seeking people in the near future to run shows from Renton South to Olympia, Centralia – Portland and Yakima, Spokane and Tri-cities as well as Lynwood to Issaquah, (Areas have not been formalized at this time, but the idea is to have multiple shows in the state working together under the Oddmall Emporium of the Weird Banner. Please contact me at oddmallseattle@gmail.com if you are interested in running shows in your area.

From here on out, all your Oddmall PNW correspondence will be coming from Captain Slinky with a new Oddmall email address. The new email address is – csoddmall@gmail.com – so make sure to read what he sends you as it will have all the information for you about this show and all upcoming shows!

I will still be a part of all shows going forward, but in a more behind the scenes / consulting role. I plan to teach Captain Slinky all I know about how to produce a successful show and I am confident going forward that Oddmall is in the right hands.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have, you can still contact me at Oddmallseattle@gmail.com .

Thank you for 8 years of Oddness,

David Hopp
Oddmall PNW Founder and Manager
