There’s an asterix up there by “Winners” because I goofed – ends up there was no way to reset the high scores on our games, and very little chance that anybody would have been able to bust into the Top 10 High Scores of the past 30-40 years. So we raffled it! We got our our dice (the Captain Slinky Family has A LOT of dice) and rolled till we had 8 different entries selected, one for each prize! We’ve already had one of the emails bounce back as undeliverable, the person who chose “DOG” as their initials. So if you registered as that, let us know!

Thank you all for a great event! I did some crazy things with our advertising this time around and it seems to have worked – we had an estimated 4.500 people come through the doors at Oddmall last weekend – and INCREDIBLE turnout for a springtime craft show! So how did you know to come to Oddmall?

Art, Craft & Retro Arcade Challenge March 29-30 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, WA! Pictured here (she’s the one on the right), Giusiana will be on hand advocating rare disease awareness and pausing for pictures as time permits! She’s out there each and every day, fighting for all of us with “Invisible Disabilities” that make doctors say stuff like “It’s All In Your Head” and “Have you considered losing some weight” as a diagnosis. When you see her, stop her and tell her thanks!”

THE PRIZE for our Captain Slinky Presents Oddmall Emporium of The Weird SPRUNG 2025 Art, Craft & Retro Arcade Gaming Show COSTUME CONTEST HAS BEEN ANNOUONCED! That means there’s going to be 38 artists out there who are going to be very, very sad when they go to pay for their space and find that there’s no space left for them 😦 There’s also about 150 unanswered applications sitting in our inbox that are perfectly suited to Oddmall so we didn’t have the heart to click “Deny” – we have emailed them all to let them know they’re automatically on The Wait List!

Hey gang! Captain Slinky here to answer the question that has hit our inbox about 427 times in the past two weeks, “WHEN CAN WE APPLY FOR THE NEXT CAPTAIN SLINKY ODDMALL SHOW?!?” I know, it’s frustrating! We’re all trying to get our budgets set and our calendars marked, and since we sell out FAST I can certainly understand the concern!

So the SHORT answer is “Soon”. The longer answer is “Hopefully on Black Friday (November 29th)”. And the LONGEST answer is “Maaan I don’t know! Last year we rushed it and ended up with a giant mess of built-up applications, stuck approvals and over-sold spaces so THIS time we want to make sure it all goes super-smooth or at the very least as smooth as possible, plus we’re trying to expand a bit by adding a few smaller shows in other cities but all of that takes time as well and it’s just The Captain & Mama Slinky doing it all and it’s not as if they’re young or spry anymore right?”
